Why is there a chihuahua in our logo?

Why is there a chihuahua in our logo?

Because behind every great brand, there’s a story—and ours has four legs, a curled tail, and a face that’s been through it all.

Meet Binkie.
Eighteen years old.
Part-time adventurer. Full-time legend.
The dog who’s lived more life than most people we know.

Before he was lounging on café chairs in Spain or charming strangers into sneaking him snacks at restaurants, Binkie had already lived a life full of love. He wasn’t mistreated—quite the opposite. When his original owner became too ill to care for him, Binkie was taken in by Geoff’s mum, a woman who showered him with affection, took him on adventures, and shaped his gentle, cheeky spirit with patience and kindness. She helped Binkie become the confident, soulful character he is today. And when life took another turn and she became unwell, Binkie found his forever home with Geoff. He’s been by his side ever since—tail curled like a half-moon, heart full, snout smiling.

Since then? Binkie has travelled the world—planes, trains, automobiles, music gigs, road trips, and siestas. Sometimes Geoff turns right, Binkie turns left. Sometimes Geoff calls “walk,” and Binkie just turns around and heads back to his couch. Because Binkie has a mind of his own.

He’s friendly—once you earn it. Loyal—once you’ve proven yourself. He gets along with our cat, hates nail trims, and scans restaurant tables like a seasoned food critic before locking into the eyes of strangers to work his magic. One look = one bite. That’s Binkie math.

And when he walks? That tail of his curls like a half-moon. That’s how you know he’s happy.
That’s how you know he made it.

Binkie is our logo because he’s everything we stand for.
A survivor.
A rebel.
A soul with a story.
Proof that underdogs don’t just survive—they thrive.

So every time you wear a BinkieCo tee, remember this:
You’re not just wearing a shirt.
You’re wearing a story.
A second chance.
A little dog with a big heart who reminds us all that life gets better when someone believes in you.
